If it is not a crisis but it is not fine either

Most of the time the honest answer is somewhere between "I am coping" and "this is an emergency". That middle ground is what a GP appointment is for, and it is a much lower bar than people assume.

The evidence on this is unusually clear: guided self-help — a workbook plus even light human support — performs roughly like face-to-face therapy for mild-to-moderate difficulty, while unguided self-help is reliably less effective. Whatever you do with this site, try to have a person somewhere in the loop.

In the UK you can self-refer to NHS Talking Therapies without going through a GP.
